I don’t know how I missed this yesterday on most of the main UK media channels but my phone seems to have caught up with the world and my feeds informed me that LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is UK’s Eurovision entry for 2006.
I’ll be watching this year, previous year for as long as I can remember I haven’t seen much that would draw me in but . . . This does!! Is it brave for the UK choice, maybe, but the competition win is what? A countries bragging rights?
To quote Hard Harry “Doesn’t this blend of blindness and blandness want to make you do something crazy? Then why not do something crazy?”
If something crazy is actually giving great, interesting artists and entertainers a platform then I applaud the UKs decision makers, wel done!

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is Sam James Bartle, a British YouTuber, electronics enthusiast, musician and composer who posts videos about making pro audio gear and synthesizers, as well as original music tracks.
Live, he is something to behold. I saw him in October last year supporting Senser and instantly wanted to see him live again. A great set, take music, add original tracks, live mixed cover tracks from audience participation, humour, knobs, dials, more knobs, more dials, and then some more dials, keyboards and a Furby, and without watching his videos your still no closer to guessing what to expect.
Taken from the web “He is known for making and playing unusual, esoteric, and eccentric electronic musical devices made from vintage technology; notably such devices as a Furby organ, a synthesizer fused with a classic Raleigh Chopper bicycle, and a Gameboy Triple Oscillator synthesizer. Bartle runs This Museum Is Not Obsolete, a museum in Ramsgate, Kent which showcases vintage analogue devices repurposed for humorous uses.” (Source)
