Overpass
This was our starting point and one we didn’t want to miss. We are seeing them later in the year and looking forward to that even more now. A great set in the sunshine.
The Waeve
Was looking forward to this one. Graham Coxon from Blur and his partner Rose Elinor Dougall. I going to use her description as ‘Prog Rock Fuckers’ which got a good laugh. Great songs from a great band. Graham Coxon just relaxed and unshackled, just enjoying himself. Sing sheets blew away and he launched his sunglasses a couple of time all the while laughing and making the guitar look effortless. HE has been described by Noel Gallagher as “one of the most talented guitarists of his generation” and that why I wanted to see this not constrained by Blur. To see what he would do.

The Zutons
Back to the main stage and we got right up close. They delivered what you’d expect. Solid indie with ‘Valerie’ obviously getting a huge reaction. I always preferred the original. A great set and glad I got a chance to see them live.
The Reytons
Always bringing it. It always goes off! My first of many Reytons gigs was a few years ago now when they were playing small venues and it’s great to see them playing to bigger and bigger audiences. This was no different, high energy, mosh pits, flares, smoke and lots of jumping up and down. Glad we got down front you need to feel this band as much as watch them.
Bloc Party
A solid set from a great band, we had dropped back for a bit of sustenance at this point so watch it from further back but it didn’t detract from it at all. Great tunes as expected.
Kings of Leon
We got what we expected. They were awesome and the crowd was huge. They played a crowd pleasing set that didn’t miss a beat. The main stage looks great at night with the colours and visual. A fantastic closer.
